Hey all, We are a starting up band from Sydney, Australia. Our musical goal is to try and create a new sound by incorporating different styles that have been done before to hopefully create a newly undefined sonic that we (Zephyr Avenue) can one day call our own. Our tonal eccentricities and left field nature help us leap through the nebulatic universe of multiple genres of music, as we can go from Metal to Jazz, Funk to progressive, Bossa Nova to Arabian, Latin to Ambient and everything in between. We also try to mix experimental song ideas with good constructive song writing ethics and in turn broaden the musical horizons and tastes of everyday people (from the underground to the mainstream). So in conclusion we hope that you can see that their are only 2 types of music: Good music and Bad Music. Just remember that genres were created by record companies as a means to inherit Record store owners with the convenience of pigeon holing bands by stamp labeling pure creativity/artistic expression which makes it nice and easy for band CD's to be stock filed on shelves and therefore get purchased en mass through fad fueled advertising and MTV/Channel V brainwashing propaganda for you young people to then attain a false sense of satisfaction inside an empty and uncaring world. (oops did i type that out loud) Well, anyway have a listen to our songs and give us some feed back (constructive feedback no lame jock comments), Cheers ~ZA~
