Scott is a singer songwriter with a rich and varied background. He emerged in Tasmania with a reputation as a great teenage blues player, which led to jamming with Son Terry and Brownie McGee. In the 90s he travelled the world playing in the US (where he played guitar with Tate & the Million Dollar Band around Chicago, home of the electric blues), the UK, Europe & the Middle East. He returned to Sydney playing guitar for the Senegalese afro-funksters BuBaca Diop, followed by an acid jazz band with members of Black Parade & Psycho Zydeco.

2000 found him gravitating towards the acoustic guitar and performing regularly on the Sydney singer-songwriter circuit. A few years later he was providing the soundtracks to video installations and short films by Sydney artist Ying Chang. Scott has also been published as a poet, academic, music journalist and cultural commentator.

Mysongcast is currently the only place you can hear Scott's music as he roadtests pre-production demos. He is currently in the studio creating his debut solo album of original songs characterised by lush soundscapes and sophisticated lyrics. His sound doesn't fit comfortably into a genre, having being described as 'art rock' and 'alternative folk-pop'.

Scott was thrilled to be selected as the first Industry Pick on Mysongcast in the June 08 comp, judged by representatives of Universal Music and Pop Republic. The winning song 'The Wastrel' is available for download on this page or in a limited edition CD single via 'message the artist'.
