Scott is a singer songwriter with a rich and varied background. He emerged in Tasmania with a reputation as a great teenage blues player, which led to jamming with Son Terry and Brownie McGee. In the 90s he travelled the world playing in the US (where he played guitar with Tate & the Million Dollar Band around Chicago, home of the electric blues), the UK, Europe, the Middle East and in Sydney including a sojourn as the guitarist for Senegalese afro-funksters BuBaca Diop, and in an acid jazz band with members of Black Parade & Psycho Zydeco.
2000 found him gravitating towards the acoustic guitar and performing regularly on the Sydney singer-songwriter circuit. Scott has also been published as a poet, academic, music journalist and cultural commentator.
Mysongcast is currently the only place you can hear Scott's music as he roadtests pre-production demos. He is currently in the studio creating his debut solo album of original songs characterised by lush soundscapes and sophisticated lyrics. Scott was thrilled to be selected as the first Industry Pick in the Mysongcast June 08 comp, judged by representatives of Universal Music and Pop Republic.
