Racz and Waters---------------------------------------------------------------------- It was January 2007 when I (INGRID) took a holiday to help my then boyfriend, Jay Coliie's, band Jonahs Road on their busy tour of Tamworth. It was nice to be in the audience for a change, giving me a chance to see the festival with fresh and un-hurried eyes. It was in the Jonahs audience, outside the Vault, that I first met Karen. We hit it off immediately and have been friends ever since!-----Before I went away on tour to Italy, Karen and I got together for a songwriting session. It was so exciting to finally find that someone where we both just bounced off eachother artistically. When I came home I was constantly thinking how we should actually perform together when RING RING!! Karen called me with the exact same thought.---------We have been together now since late October 07 when we were both introduced to Mr Heartache at the same time. This was vented in the only healthy way we songwriters know how....but the songs are great!! In November we were joined by my sister Tahlia and Racz and Waters was born!--------We have now come full circle! This year 'Racz and Waters' made their first debut at the 2008 Tamworth Country Music Festival. 5 days, 11 gigs and a swishy demo later (thankyou Jay Collie at Bunza Studios), we have come home full of excitement for this thing we have created. We are Racz and Waters. We have arrived!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karen Anne--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karen Anne Waters moved from Canberra, where she was nursing, to Tamworth, trying to follow a life long dream of performing and writing.
