EP REVIEW:
"Before we chase the sky" debut EP Review by Billy Pinnell in "MAG" magazine
4/5 stars,
From Newcastle NSW, 18 year-old Jason Lowe displays his prodigious talents as a songwriter and lap steel guitarist on this debut release. Resisting the temptation to flaunt his obvious musical gifts, Lowe seduces the listener with his breathy, soulful vocals, understated guitar and a bunch of songs ideally suited to arrangements featuring keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars, percussion and strings. While none of his influences are overplayed (there are hints of country, folk and blues), the subtle differences present on each song makes this release special.

"Some profound talent lay here. Centred around honesty and lyrically gentle the instrumentally impressive Lowe provides a maturity in a smooth yet lightly sandpaper vocals. Emotive and expressive, this song provides questions and the answer is hidden in the instrumentation."
